DC 10 – Integrating Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) into in silico technologies
Can you share a bit about your academic and professional journey?
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Ghent University, where I built a strong foundation in interdisciplinary research. Building on this, I pursued a Master’s in Sociology with a specialization in Social Studies in Biomedicine and Life Sciences, followed by an Advanced Master’s in Bioethics at KU Leuven.
What motivated you to pursue a Doctoral candidacy within the Doctoral Network?
My academic background has shaped my interest in the ethical and social dimensions of biomedical innovations, particularly in emerging health technologies. I was drawn to the InSilicoHealth Project Doctoral Network for its interdisciplinary focus and commitment to Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI). The chance to collaborate with experts across disciplines and contribute to the responsible development of in silico health technologies motivated me to join this research environment.
What aspects of this training and research program are you most excited about?
I look forward to learning from and alongside the diverse disciplinary perspectives within the network.
